Even as a child I could always be found drawing and painting. After leaving school I studied Fashion Design at college in Sheffield. From that course I gained A level Art and qualified as a member of SIAD Society of Industrial Artists and Designers.
I worked in the Fashion Industry for 15 years and had little time to enjoy fine art.
After having my family I returned to education attending 2 years of NVQ
Art courses and then a year of private watercolour lessons.
I joined Barlbrough and Clowne art group in 2005 and began my journey in community arts, exhibiting with them yearly.
In 2014 I joined Worksop Society Of Artists where I met a great network of artists, enjoying demonstrations, workshops, and having opportunities to exhibit. After experimenting with all mediums, in 2014 I settled on pastels as my main focus and wildlife as my subject. I became the Chairman of the WSA in 2017.
April 2019, I finally make the move to become part time self employed Artist. Specialising in Pet Portraits
I believe that art is a lifelong journey of discovery and enjoy sharing my passion with like-minded friends
